Spans / Trace Limit

For every trace that Tideways collects, it contains all SQL queries, HTTP requests, cache calls and many other framework related calls, events, templates as well as custom spans.

These provide context into what is going on in a user or background request and help diagnose and detect bottlenecks.

Different plans have different maximum spans / trace that are stored by Tideways. In Team plan, its 500 spans, and in Business and Enterprise its 1500.
